I would like to report an ongoing sanitation concern at my residential building, JVue Apartments. For approximately three weeks, there has been a persistent and extremely strong odor consistent with a dead rat or other decomposing animal throughout the building lobby and common areas. The smell is noticeable immediately upon entering the building and has remained unresolved despite residents repeatedly reporting the issue to management. The odor is severe enough to affect residents, visitors, and staff on a daily basis. Many residents, including families with young children, are concerned that the situation may represent an unsanitary condition and a potential public health issue. Management has acknowledged the problem and stated that they are “working on it,” but after approximately three weeks the odor remains unchanged and no meaningful resolution has been communicated to residents. I am requesting that the City inspect the property and determine whether the condition violates applicable health, sanitation, or housing standards. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
