Pothole
Intersection Of Charlesgate And Massachusetts Tpke W, Boston, MaThe roadway contains a severe pothole and pavement failure with exposed underlying structure. The asphalt is broken and sunken, with sharp, uneven edges and standing water that obscures the depth of the hole. Cracks radiate outward, indicating ongoing deterioration rather than a minor surface defect. The pothole appears large enough to cause significant impact to a vehicle’s tire, wheel, suspension, or undercarriage, especially in wet or snowy conditions where visibility is reduced. The location is on a heavily traveled roadway/ramp, creating a hazardous driving condition with little opportunity for drivers to safely avoid the defect.
