Description: Pagel Park in JP (the soccer field) needs 20 foot backstop netting installed on the south side of the field. When community leagues play games on the weekend (as has been happening all summer), balls fly over the fence, often hitting houses at full impact (enough to damage outdoor fixtures and break tree branches). On the worst day, 10 balls hit our home on Larch Place in 1 hour of play. But in a week it'll be happening 3-5 times a day, every day of the summer at least, since a lot of young folks will come and practice on weekdays in preparation for their weekend tournaments. The city has actual backstop netting or much higher netting at other popular fields (examples attached from Malcolm X Park on the side of Dale Street, and also Healy Playground on the side of Firth St). Pagel urgently needs a similar fix.
